Richard P. Seiter Scholarship
The Ohio Correctional and Court Services Association (OCCSA) which is the Ohio Chapter of the American Correctional Association is pleased to announce that Dr. Richard P. Seiter, former Director of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC), has established a scholarship for children of current DRC employees to recognize the commitment of these employees and their service to the state of Ohio and the DRC. Dr. Seiter established this scholarship with the belief that education (just like in his experience) can set a person’s course in life. He also values the dedication of people that give their career to public service, and especially those who work in corrections and do very difficult jobs under sometimes stressful conditions. If a scholarship can help them and their children, it is an investment in the future of our country and our state that is a legacy that he wants to leave. The Scholarship applications will be due by April 15 each year and awarded by June 1 each year.
